Saved workspace and sharing
Your saved chats, branches, projects, uploaded files, generated media and personal-memory facts belong to your signed-in account and remain available across devices until you delete them. Personal memory is optional and is kept separate from project context.
Chats are private until you explicitly create an unlisted sharing link. Anyone with that link can view the selected conversation snapshot and its shared files until you revoke the link or delete the source. Hidden project instructions, personal-memory settings and other branches are excluded. Information visible in the conversation itself remains visible in its snapshot.
Your account and payments
We use your verified email, account identifier and, when you choose Google sign-in, basic profile information to secure your account and connect your balance, API keys and settings. Sign-in uses necessary session cookies. Google profile information received at sign-in is not added to training contributions.
We keep account, usage and transaction records to operate the service, account for charges, resolve problems and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Card details are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; Ruthless stores payment references and card descriptions rather than full card numbers. Optional automatic top-ups require your separate authorization and can be switched off.
Your conversations and files
Your requests, relevant conversation context and any files you submit are sent to the service providers needed to answer or create the result. Public-web tools send the necessary search query or page address to a search or page-reading provider. These services may process data outside the UK. Avoid including information you do not have permission to share.
We record usage amounts, request identifiers and generation status so the service can charge correctly and recover unfinished work. Generated files may remain available through temporary provider links; download results you want to keep. Operational records are separate from training contributions.
Content agreement and development records
New Ruthless accounts accept our versioned standard content-use agreement before continuing with Google or email. It covers eligible text sent through Ruthless chat or a Ruthless API key, responses, feedback and corrections, for evaluation and future development and training of our own models. We record the agreement version, its text fingerprint, the time you continued, your sign-in method and the time your identity was verified. We do not record raw sign-in verification secrets, IP addresses or Google profile data in this agreement record.
The content licence and the lawful basis for personal-data processing are separate. Under agreement version 2026-10-21-v2, we collect eligible future requests and results in our legitimate interests in evaluating reliability and improving the service. We limit the record, remove common credential patterns, restrict access and provide objection and deletion controls. Agreement acceptance is not UK GDPR consent, does not make future model training necessary to deliver answers, and does not waive statutory rights.
Existing contribution settings
Existing accounts and contribution settings are not converted by signing in. Existing consent-based contributions remain governed by that consent until you change it. You can explicitly accept the revised agreement in the data panel for future requests; this never imports earlier conversations. An objection, consent withdrawal or deletion invalidates pending capture so an earlier request cannot restore deleted content. Chat access and pricing do not depend on accepting revised collection terms for an existing account.
Collection contains completed text conversations, text-file contents, visible tool actions, media-generation text prompts and production briefs, feedback, corrections, outcome, cost and latency. We exclude native image/video bytes, private system instructions, hidden model reasoning, account and payment records and Google profile data. Reference metadata is marked as having unverified third-party rights until reviewed. Common credential removal is not a guarantee of anonymisation; avoid submitting secrets or sensitive personal data.
Raw development content is retained for 90 days. Only separately reviewed eligible examples may remain for up to 12 months. Expired content is excluded from access and curation, and removed by routine maintenance. Billing and agreement records have separate necessary retention. You can export, delete or object to development collection in the data panel, or contact us. A rating or correction you deliberately submit about a completed response may be kept as service feedback without retroactively collecting an unshared conversation.
Future training examples require a recorded privacy, ownership, supplier-permission and quality review. Unknown or prohibited provider permissions do not qualify. Material from public-web results and third-party references needs separate rights review. No model learns its weights automatically from your conversation. Internal quality tests may run through our hosting and AI service processors; this is not a licence to sell a dataset or let an independent third party train on it.
Requests made with a Ruthless API key reach Ruthless regardless of the compatible client you choose. Activity using other providers’ keys, or unrelated activity in external apps, is not collected here.
Your choices and requests
Contact us to exercise applicable rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability. You can also raise a privacy complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you, and some financial, agreement or security records may need to be retained where legally necessary. Service providers process the data needed for authentication, hosting, email delivery, payments and requested AI features.
